AI: Nothing artificial about this threat – Threat actors have already shown how AI can help them develop malware only with a limited knowledge of programming languages, brainstorm new TTPs, compose convincing text to be used in social engineering attacks, and also increase their operational productivity. From January 2023 to October 2023, detected more than 225,000 logs up for sale on the dark web containing compromised ChatGPT credentials. Group-IBs Threat Intelligence platform found these compromised credentials within the logs of information-stealing malware traded on illicit dark web marketplaces. Learn More /…

CRIMEMARKET: German Police take down wholesale Cybercrime platform – German law enforcement have carried out a spectacular take-down of the “premier” German speaking Cybercrime platform, arrested its operators and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and assets. The “Crimemarket platform” (sic) described as the “Amazon” for German speaking Criminals is reported to have had in excess of 180,000 users and acted as a wholesale Crime marketplace where criminals could trade expertise, fake IDs & Scam tools. It is believed to have earned an astonishing 25€ million ($27m) since it was launched in 2018. Learn More /…

SOFTCAT: Business tech Priorities Report – Each year Softcat asks their customers what technology solutions and services they plan to prioritise over the next 12 months to help them overcome the biggest challenges they are facing today.
