1) SCAM WARNING: UK FINANCE – The Small Business “Guaranteed” Loan Scam. Regular Readers and Members will have been appraised by my recent Investigation into the proliferation of the old Advance Fee Fraud, now news has reached me that UK Finance the UK Banking trade-body has issued an Advisory warning potential victims that they, UK Finance,  does not offer any financial products and anyone claiming to provide such products on our behalf is fraudulent. 2) RANSOMWARE: Just who is behind Lockbit and what is going on? I first reported on this latest bout of Lockbit saga back in May last year when I covered the indictment of a Russian national Mikhail Pavlovich Matveev who was targeted by the DoJ for deploying various Ransomware variants including Lockbit – Hold that thought as we move forward to 21 June last year and the US DoJ again laid charges against Ruslan Magomedovich Astamirov a Chechen (Russian) national for his involvement in deploying LockBit attacks. 3) VPN: IVANTI VPN – Five Eyes issue Ivanti VPN Advisory. In a joint advisory the Five Eyes Intelligence alliance including the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada and the US have issued a stark warning that ongoing exploitation of several Ivanti VPN flaws allowing attackers to bypass authentication and execute commands with command privileges. The advisory has warned users to assume that their IVANTI VPN has been breached and their credentials have almost certainly  been compromised. Learn More /…
