1). THREAT INTEL: DDoS – 68% of Companies are More Vulnerable to DDoS Than They Think. Misplaced confidence can often be much worse than a known weakness according to DDoS Experts Red Button. When you have an accurate idea of where your vulnerabilities are, at least you can focus your mitigation resources there accordingly. But if you think your defences are strong where they are not, or you don’t truly understand the adversary’s capabilities, then you will always misallocate your forces and leave yourself open to attack.

2). THREAT INTEL: FRAUDSCAPE 2024 – The Cifas UK Fraudscape 2024 report. The report examines the challenges and threats that face the fraud prevention community, as well as the areas which require focus to fight fraud and financial crime more effectively. Combining data from their National Fraud Database (NFD) and Insider Threat Database (ITD) along with intelligence provided by Cifas members, partners and law enforcement I would urge you to head over and read the full report for yourselves.

3). VPN – Understanding The Virtual Private Network (VPN) A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is an essential technology for SMEs as it enables secure and private communication over a public network. By encrypting data and hiding the user’s IP address, VPNs establish a secure connection between the employees’ devices and the company’s network, ensuring the privacy and security of sensitive information.
