Gamma Communications, a leading provider of technology-driven communication services across Europe, has announced plans to acquire STARFACE Group GmbH, a prominent German provider of IP telephony and cloud PBX solutions. The acquisition, from private equity fund Maxburg, is pending regulatory approval. With this move, Gamma aims to position itself as a top challenger to traditional telecommunications providers in Germany, a market with significantly lower cloud penetration compared to the UK. The acquisition will enhance Gamma’s ability to serve the German SME sector with innovative, agile, and customer-centric solutions. By integrating STARFACE’s extensive partner network, which spans Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Gamma’s portfolio will achieve full coverage of the German SME market. This strategic expansion is expected to accelerate cloud adoption and further solidify Gamma’s presence as a leader in Europe’s cloud communications landscape.
