If your Windows 10 PC can’t be upgraded, you have limited options before time runs out. Microsoft will officially end support for its most popular operating system in less than a year. Here’s what you should do with your Windows 10 PCs that fail Microsoft’s Windows 11 strict compatibility tests before that day arrives.

I have had an incredible amount of user input on the subject of what happens after Microsoft ends support for Windows 10. Readers want to know the “Best-practice” if you will to beat the end of life date of October 14, 2025. As I say the content that I have read from august news channels has been sketchy and generally filled with short term work rounds and fudges to “trick” the upgrade engine into believing that your system meets with Win 11 requirements This IS NOT Recommended!

There is a school of thought that preaches that Microsoft will back down and maintain the 10 OS for at least another couple of years. No – I have spoken extensively to Microsoft on this matter, they are all geared to switch off support on October 14 this year, No If´s/But´s. There is an option for a “consumer” licence to pay for additional product support but it is for “consumer” accounts and will only last a year at that. So This is NOT An Option!

The worst case scenario I have heard to date was a Small Business Owner who managed to download a Win 11 & 365 .ISO from “PirateBay(.)com” he manged to install win 11 via a “crack” but all his data including his banking has gone missing! Unfortunately the likes of this Torrent site are still accessible via a series of proxies and mirrors which sadly still facilitate access. NEVER Download Pirated Software! This is NOT an Option!
