SMALL BUSINESS GROWTH: Small business growth forecasts at two-year peak – as confidence accelerates in the North and Midlands according to a recent report by Novuna Business Finance Research: Small Business growth forecasts at two-year peak – as confidence accelerates in the North and Midlands. The percentage of UK small business predicting growth for the final three-months of 2024 remains at the two-year high of last quarter (35%) – with significant upturns in growth forecasts across the North, the Midlands and among younger businesses
2). EU: COMPLIANCE – CYBER RESILIENCE ACT Council adopts new law on security requirements for digital products. With the recent adoption of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) legislative text, the European Union has officially kick started the timeline for when it will enter into force and therefore, companies having to comply with its requirements. The Act defines cybersecurity requirements for all products placed on the European market that contain digital elements: this includes products such as connected (IoT) devices, computing devices and networking equipment.
