1). CYBER COMPLIANCE: Faddom Announces New Platform to Support Compliance with Stricter European Cybersecurity Regulations. In anticipation of more stringent cybersecurity regulations across Europe, Faddom has introduced a new module designed to help businesses align with the complex requirements of the Network and Information Systems Directive (NIS2) and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). These regulations, which will come into effect in October 2024 and January 2025, respectively, set rigorous standards for cybersecurity and operational resilience.
2). NIST: SEMI Consortium to Develop Cybersecurity Strategy and Roadmap for Semiconductor Industry Aligned with NIST Framework. In an effort to enhance the semiconductor industry’s resilience against cybersecurity threats, SEMI, the global industry association, announced the development of a strategic cybersecurity roadmap. The SEMI Semiconductor Manufacturing Cybersecurity Consortium (SMCC) has teamed up with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to create an industry-specific profile based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 (CSF 2.0).
