1). ENISA: European Cybersecurity Month Shines a Spotlight on Social Engineering Threats. This October marks the annual European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM), a dedicated effort to promote digital security and raise awareness about navigating the online world safely. Coordinated by the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and supported by the European Commission and EU Member States, the campaign includes a series of events and initiatives across Europe aimed at educating the public. The theme for this year’s campaign is Social Engineering, a growing Cybersecurity threat.

2). THREAT INTEL: QUISHING Surge in QR Code Scams across Europe – Netcraft. A recent Report by the world leader in cybercrime detection Netcraft has illuminated the scope of a recent surge in Quishing (Phishing via QR Code) across Europe, following close on the heels of Motoring organisation RAC´s recent advisory to UK Motorists urging them to beware of threat actors utilizing Quick Response (QR) code stickers luring them to malicious websites. These sites are designed to exfiltrate personal data, including payment information, by impersonating known parking payment providers
