1). SME CYBER RISK AT ALLTIME HIGH – UK Small Businesses Face Rising Cyber Threats as Attacks Surge. Lindy Cameron, CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), has emphasized that small businesses are a vital component of the UK economy, yet they remain appealing targets for Cybercriminals. In a recent report, law enforcement authorities have pointed to a worrying increase in Cyberattacks aimed at SMEs with the most common threats including email compromise, ransomware & phone hacking

UK: NEW GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES AI & CYBERSECURITY REFORM – The new UK Labour Government under the stewardship of Sir Keir Starmer the former senior British prosecutor, has used the King´s speech last month to announce its new AI (Artificial Intelligence), Cybersecurity & Digital Information Bills. While AI policing will remain largely unchanged the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill aims to “strengthen the UK’s cyber defences” while the Digital Information & Smart Data Bill will be introduced, aimed at streamlining data use and sharing.
