1). UK: NCSC UNVEILS PLANS FOR ACTIVE CYBER DEFENCE 2.0 – The UKs Cybersecurity organisation the NCSC (The National Cyber Security Centre) has unveiled plans to update its Active Cyber Defence program, refreshing the initiative to keep up with the evolving threat landscape. The organisation is looking to build on its existing programme by developing a new suite of services in line with the threat posed by modern commodity Cyberattacks.

2). EUROPE: NIS2 COMPLIANCE DRAWS CLOSER – The implementation deadline for NIS2 is looming. The reworked Network and Information Systems Directive, or NIS2, which entered into force on 16 January 2023 and replaced the NIS1. A 21-month implementation period for NIS2 started on 16 January 2023. EU Member States have until 17 October 2024 to transpose the directive into their national laws. Businesses will need to understand the implementation regimes that have been enacted in order to ensure compliance.

3). WHAT IS CYBER MITIGATION  – A Guide to Attack Mitigation for SMEs in Europe – CyberKPI: Attack/Cyber mitigation is a detection and protection strategy used to safeguard networks, servers and applications by IT administrators in order to minimize the effect of malicious traffic and intrusion attempts.  Attack Mitigation in SMEs in Europe plays a critical role in reducing the impact of Cybersecurity threats on their data.
