AUTONOMY/DARKTRACE: Tech Entrepreneur Mike Lynch dies in Freak Accident  

Tech Entrepreneur Mike Lynch together with his close advisors and daughter all died after a “freak” capsizing of his yacht off the coast of Sicily. Lynch has been vicariously described as a “Tech Genius” “The British Bill Gates” & a “Maverick” but whatever your take, Dr Mike Lynch was a Tech Titan.

His meteoric rise from boarding school scholarship which proved to be a stepping stone to Christ’s College, Cambridge, where Lynch´s true genius began to shine. He completed a PhD in Signal Processing apparently delivering a “blistering” thesis, before venturing into the Tech sector where, it has to be said he built up a controversial reputation predominantly caused by a major bust-up with HP over the sale of Autonomy which lead to a protracted criminal Trial in the US. Ironically the trip was to celebrate his recent acquittal!

Before founding Autonomy, Lynch founded Cambridge Neurodynamics, a company that specialized in computer-based detection and fingerprint recognition.
