1). ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: META – EU Puts Brakes on Meta´s Llama AI. EU Legislators have put the brakes on Meta´s LlamaAI – so much so that the Facebook parent has delayed the launch. The contretemps has evolved over Meta´s ambitions to “train” its AI on data from FB & Instagram posts however this hasn’t been well received by Privacy legislators – Specifically Irish data protection regulators. Meta took to their media machine to criticize the move saying that the move was a “Step backwards for European Innovation”
