Welcome to Today’s Edition of CYBERInsights – My Daily Roundup of the Latest European SME Cybersecurity News including: 1). SMEs must do more 2). ESMA Guidelines on AI Use 3). What is IoT?

1). SMEs must do more to combat the growing threat of cyber attacks – The ICO (Information Commissioners Office) has called on all SMEs to take simple steps to boost their Cybersecurity and protect the personal information they hold, amid the growing threat of cyber attacks. Quoting their own trend data the Commissioner has revealed more organisations than ever are experiencing Cybersecurity breaches that put people’s personal information at risk.

2). ESMA: The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) – The EUs financial markets regulator & supervisor, has issued a Statement providing initial guidance to firms using AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies when they provide investment services to retail clients. When using AI, ESMA expects firms to comply with relevant MiFID II requirements, particularly when it comes to organisational aspects and conduct of business.

3). WHAT IS IoT? –UNVEILING THE WORLD OF IOT – Evolution, Applications, and Future Innovations. The Internet of Things describes devices with sensors, processing ability, software and other technologies that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet or other communications networks. IoT is a revolutionary concept that has transformed the way devices communicate and interact with each other.
